Full Internship Description

The Pursuit For Peace Summer Internship is for hard-working and driven young adults who are ready to gain valuable experience while developing in their leadership. The ideal candidate is a college student home for summer break that needs community service hours, or a graduated student leaving for college in the fall.


The Internship Program is designed to help young adults develop as leaders personally and professionally. Pursuit for Peace is currently seeking young adults who are passionate about serving the medically vulnerable population, as well as our community, Interns will have the opportunity to develop under the leadership team and work in a team environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

  • Summer Internship start date: June 2023 (Application Deadline: March 31).

  • Summer internships are 3 months long

  • Internships are 20-40 hours for the entire summer

  • Interns will develop experience.

Interns can choose the area that they are interested in. Areas for internships include:

  • Character Ambassador - dressing as a character, visiting children in hospitals and facilities, dressing for community events, completing character training, and taking care of wigs and costumes.

  • Character Attendant - Assists characters at events and facilities, takes pictures of characters, speaks with the public at events, transports characters, and helps provide comfort and safety for the characters.

  • Social Media/Photography - Takes pictures at events, posts pictures on social, creates reels and helps with content.

  • Event Coordinating - Assists the event coordinator with setting up and tearing down at events, and any behind-the-scenes work needed (running errands).

  • Administrative Work - Assisting our Secretary of the Board with paperwork, communication with the board committee, July Board Meeting, and any gala planning. (Some tasks not listed).


All interns will receive community service hours for their time committed to Pursuit for Peace over the 3-month program. A minimum of 20 hours for the entire summer is required. The candidate must also provide a current background check before volunteering.
